Mech enggs meet Wani

JAMMU, Mar 31: A deputation of All J&K Mechanical Engineers Association led by its president, RK Kohli, met Minister, R&B and Mechanical Engineering Department, Abdul Majid Wani, here today and discussed the problems being faced by the mechanical engineers of the State.
The deputation, during discussion with the Minister, put forth various demands including creation of two posts of Hydraulic Chief Engineer Mechanical in the State, cadre management control of mechanical engineers, promotions against the vacant posts of Assistant Executive Engineer to Chief Engineer level and regularization of mechanical engineers from Assistant Executive Engineer to Superintending Engineer level.
The demands like restoration of 85 posts of Junior Engineer Mechanical Grade-I sanctioned vide Govt order No 370-PW (Hyd) of 2011 dated Sept, 26, 2011 and running grades for mechanical engineers was also put before the Minister. The delegation also submitted a charter of demands in this regard to Wani.
The Minister assured the delegation early redressal of their demands.
NN Thusu, TR Sharma, Ajay Khajuria, DK Sharma, DK Wali and AK Verma were part of the delegation.
