JAMMU, July 25: A delegation of All J&K Mechanical Engineers Association met the R&B and MED Minister Abdul Majid Wani and submitted a memorandum to him projecting demands.
The members under the chairmanship of R K Kohli, took up the issues like creation of two posts of Hydraulic Chief Engineers Mechanical in the State, promotions against the vacant posts of AEs and AEEs, maintenance of cadre strength in reservation as per Jammu and Kashmir Reservation Act 2004, regularization of mechanical engineers from AE to Xen level, restoration of 85 posts of JE (Mech Grade-I) sanctioned vide Govt Order No. 370-PW (Hyd) of 2011 dated 26-9-11 and creation of five Mechanical Divisions in the newly created districts of the State.
Ajay Khajuria president, Ravinder Krandoo general secretary and T R Sharma senior vice president of the Association interacted with the Minister and discussed the issues. The Minister listened patiently and assured redressal of their genuine issues.
