JAMMU, Jan 20: The progress under Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS) of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY)-Housing for All (Urban) was reviewed here today.
The progress was reviewed by Managing Director (MD) J&K Housing Board Vipra Bhal in high level meeting of Central Nodal Agencies (CNAs)-HUDCO and National Housing Bank, Private PSUs Banks, implementing agencies–JUDA/UDAK and DUDAs and others.
In the meeting, the Banker’s were asked to expedite the process of sanction as the progress under the component have been very slow and only 10 per cent of the total target have been achieved in the first three quarters.
The implementation agencies raised few issues regarding land documentation and other formalities to be completed.
It was clarified that the District Urban Development Agencies will route all the cases after the completion through Municipal Committee/Council for re-verification on eligibility and approval of construction plan so that cases are cleared by Task Force Committee under DDCs where bankers are also members of the committee for easing the sanction and expediting the same within the stipulated time.
In case the property is in the name of male beneficiary, the name of his wife as a joint holder after completion of formalities or wife as a co-applicant should be done after making necessary change or incase wife is not alive, the name of the mother of the beneficiary should to be entered and if both are not alive the property can be retained in the name of male person as per the guidelines.
