KATRA, Oct 19: The devotees of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji, local traders-businessmen and several vehicle-owners got a sigh of relief as the Municipal Committee has started blacktopping of road at main Bus Stand.
During the recent rainfall, several potholes were developed on the road thereby creating problems for the pedestrians as well as vehicle operators. Taking serious note of this, DDC Reasi, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary issued directions to the Municipal Committee Katra to immediately start blacktopping/ premixing work at Bus Stand Katra.
An amount of Rs 131 lakh is being spent on blacktopping/ premixing works during and after Navratra Festival.
