SAMBA, Mar 17: Municipal Committee (MC), Samba today launched anti encroachment drive in Samba town and demolished the illegal structures along the National Highway.
According to the report, Municipal Committee Samba launched anti encroachment drive and demolished the illegal structures along the National Highway in district Samba. This afternoon a team of Municipal Committee Samba along with police started the encroachment drive in the area. During the drive they demolished the illegal Rehris and Khokhas. Few days ago the Municipal Committee Samba had also launched the anti encroachment drive on the direction of DC Samba in Link road Samba. But today again it launched drive and removed the encroachment from the National Highway Samba and also demolished some Rehris.
After the encroachment drive, some people said that the authorities of the Municipal Committee Samba is adopting pick and choose policy. If the Committee launched the anti encroachment drive on National Highway and removed the Rehris, why it did not launch the drive on other side of the Highway, where some people have also made encroachment of footpath and the people were facing lot of troubles while moving on footpath.
They said the Rehris removed today were away from footpath, so the pedestrians were not facing any problem while moving on footpath but the Rehris which are actually posing a problem with the encroachment of footpath have been let scot free.
