Jammu, May 7: Electronics and Communication Engineering Department of MBSCET in collaboration with Times Institute of Management and Technical Studies (TIMTS) and All India Council of Robotics & Automation organised a two days workshop on ‘Android Robotics’ which concluded today.
Anil Gupta (HOD, ECE) presented the welcome address.
Prof. (Dr.) A.S Sudan, Chairman, MBSCET was the chief guest.
The inaugural function started with the lighting of tradition lamp by the Chairman along with S. Lakhbir Singh Bawa, Advisor; Prof. (Dr.) Anjani Kumar Principal; Prof. Amrik Singh, Vice-Principal; Prof. Parveen Singh, Dean (Academics); S. H.S Gill, Director Students Welfare; Prof. Anil Gupta HOD ECE.
About 80 students from different disciplines, all other HODs and staff members participated in the workshop.
The Chairman in his inaugural address spoke widely on the significance of such workshops that aim to bridge the gap between the academics and industry.
The Dean (Academics) laid stress on such workshops in enhancing the overall skills of the students thereby increasing their employability.
Vishal Sharma and Dinesh Gupta, resource persons from TIMTS discussed on the designing concepts of microcontroller, serial communication and an overview on the Robotics.
