JAMMU, Oct 7: Demanding reinstatement of a faculty member, who had recently resigned from the college for unknown reasons, the students of Mahant Bachitar Singh College of Engineering today held a strong protest demonstration.
Raising slogans in support of their demand and carrying placards, they marched towards the Jammu University and held a demonstration there. They also called on the University authorities seeking their intervention for reinstatement of one Prof J K Koul, a faculty member in Mechanical Engineering Wing of the College, who was allegedly forced to resign by the college management.
Earlier, these students also held a protest demonstration in the college premises in support of their demand. They accused the college administration of being dictatorial towards students as well as the faculty members and warned an indefinite stir if the ‘ousted’ teacher is not reinstated immediately.
