Mayor takes stock of public grievances in Ward 23

JAMMU, Jan 7: Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Chander Mohan Gupta, today toured various areas of Ward No 23 i.e Satwari, Nai basti etc and took stock of public grievances.
Concerned Cororator Pawan Singh and officers of JMC and other field staff was accompanying the Mayor. The Mayor also met the residents of these localities and listened to their grievances regarding construction/renovation of drains/lanes, improvement of sanitation, non-functioning of street lights, renovation of parks and menace of stray dogs/animals.
Chander Mohan directed the concerned officers on spot to resolve the grievances of people at an earliest and asked the residents to cooperate with Municipal staff and do not throw their house hold garbage on the public lanes/drains, in the open area and in the parks which further worsened the sanitation conditions.
The Mayor also visited the spot of Satwari where a Nallah is under construction and directed the concerned to speed up the work so that public may not suffer. He appealed the shopkeepers of the areas not to display their belongings outside their shops to avoid traffic congestion and make the Jammu city neat, clean and green.
