JAMMU, Dec 12: Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Chander Mohan Gupta today conducted an intensive tour of Shakti Nagar area.
Surinder Chowdhary, JMC Councillor also accompanied the Mayor.
During the tour the Mayor started construction work of green walkway along the canal side at Shakti Nagar with an estimate cost of Rs. 5 lakh.
Ayodhya Gupta, senior BJP leader, Karan Sharma and other prominent locals as well as the concerned Contractor was also present on the occasion.
Later on, the Mayor visited Bahu Fort area along with Sharda Devi, Councillor and started the construction of lanes and drains at Kacha Talab, Bahu Fort and this work will be completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 17 lakh by JMC.
Vinay Gupta, District President BJP, Vivek, Anuradha Charak and others too accompanied the Mayor during the visit.
The Mayor directed the AEE JMC, Anil Gupta and other engineering wing staff to expedite the construction work with quality material to the satisfaction of the public.
The Mayor said that BPL families of Bahu Fort area will be given special assistance in terms of development activities, street lights etc.
