JAMMU, Apr 22: Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Chander Mohan Gupta today visited Maheshpura, Bakshi Nagar, Gurah etc and listened to problems of the locals there.
The locals demanded repairing of lanes and drains, lifting of stray animals, engagement of more Safai Karamcharies, proper sanitation and installation of electrical lights in their areas.
Prominent citizens of the area were also present on the occasion along with officers and officials of various wings of JMC.
The Mayor directed the officers to resolve the issues of public on war footing.
He also appealed to the general public as well as shopkeepers to cooperate with JMC and put their garbage in dustbins and also avoid using polythene bags in order to make Jammu neat, clean and green.
