JAMMU, June 10: Mayor JMC, Chander Mohan Gupta today toured Rajpura, Shiv Nagar and Shakti Nagar areas of Ward number 33 here and met with locals of the locality.
He also took stock of the problems being faced by the locals.
The locals demanded renovations of drains and nallahs and their proper de-silting well before the rainy season, lifting of garbage on routine basis, installation of street lights, lifting of stray animals etc.
Arun Gupta, XEN JMC; Mohd Saleem Khan, Health Officer and other field staff of different sections were also present with the Mayor during the tour.
The Mayor also inaugurated a view point having sitting provision at canal head near A.G office, Shakti Nagar for the general public.
He directed the engineering wing of JMC to develop another view point in front of cremation ground Shakti Nagar with chairs and black-topping of the damaged roads.
The Mayor appealed to the general public to not to throw garbage, filth etc in public drains and lanes and cooperate JMC in making Jammu city neat, clean and green.
