JAMMU, Feb 2: The Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Rajinder Sharma along with Deputy Mayor, Baldev Singh Billawaria here today inaugurated a Trade Fair-cum-Manoranjan Mela at JDA ground near Bhagwati Nagar Bridge.
All J&K Panchayat Conference president, Anil Sharma and other prominent people of the area also attended the inaugural function. The Trade Fair has been organized by M/s Sharma Brothers.
The Mayor visited the stalls installed by traders belonging to J&K and outside.
He asked the unemployed youth of J&K to avail optimum benefit of schemes launched by the Central and UT Governments for their socio-economic upliftment.
He called for a change in mind set of unemployed youth to become job providers instead of job seekers.
The Mayor also said that such trade fairs prove beneficial for the people and should be a regular affair to provide platform to entrepreneurs to sell their products.
Arun Sharma, organizer of the event said that stalls of various daily use and household items including crockery, kitchenware items, footwear, bamboo furniture, readymade items, toys, ladies suit, gift items, sweater, food stalls etc have been established in the fair and he invited the people to visit the fair along with their family members in large number.
