JAMMU, Oct 25: Continuing his commitment to provide better basic as well as civic facilities to the people of Jammu, Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Chander Mohan Gupta today inaugurated a deluxe Sulabh Toilet Complex having five toilets, two bathrooms , two urinals and a caretaker’s room at Super Speciality Hospital Reshamgarh Colony of Ward No.13 JMC.
Adv. Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor, JMC, Ajit Kumar Angral Chairman Social Justice JMC, Rama Kumari Councilor of Ward No.13 Reshamgarh Colony, Dr. Arun Kumar Medical Superintendent, Dr. Deepak Kumar, Deputy Medical Superintendent, Mohit Mahajan, XEn JMC, Ashok Kumar, AEE, VK Thakur from Lakshya Social Service Organization and various other inhabitants of the localities were also present during the function.
The project cost for the toilet complex was Rs 10.30 lacs under Swachh Bharat Mission and it was constructed and will be maintained by Lakshya Social Service organization on pay & use basis for stipulated time period.
The Mayor appreciated the works done by Lakshya Social Service organization throughout India including J&K for providing better sanitation services and said that some more deluxe toilet complexes will be constructed on public demands in Jammu in future also in order to make Jammu city free from open defecation/open urination and also appeal to the general public to refrain from the said practice and cooperate with Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) to make Jammu neat, clean and green.
