JAMMU, Nov 29: Maximum Healthcare and Indian Spinal Injuries Centre (ISIC) New Delhi conducted a free medical camp for Spine & Joint Replacement at Jammu.
Apart from offering free screenings to people, a team of doctors and other officials from Maximum Healthcare & Indian Spinal Injuries Centre raised awareness on the importance of Spine & Joint Health diseases during the camp. Free general vital checkup and BMD was also offered to the coming patients.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Manish Manocha, Group Head of Maximum Healthcare said, “Raising awareness about the importance of Spine & Orthopedic Health is crucial in India where Back and Joint pain affects every other person. The situation is adversely impacted by low awareness of the issue and limited access to proper care, especially in rural areas. Cultural stigmas, misconceptions and myths surrounding back pains also prevent people from seeking the treatment they need.”
“Irrespective of how much you care for your body, there are times when you tend to miss certain symptoms which can lead to back pain, joint pain, swelling of the muscles, sciatia or other problems. The minor problems can lead to permanent damage gradually with the support of Indian Spinal Injuries Centre. Keeping in mind the severity of the issue, we decided to conduct free medical camps across J&K,” added Dr Manish.
The Camp was attended by Dr Vivek Mahajan (Joint Replacement Specialist) and Dr Ankur Nanda (Spine Surgeon from Indian Spinal Injuries Centre, New Delhi). They were supported by Mohd Ali, Kiran, Rajni Dalotra, Shilpa Jaswal, Nadeem Amjed and Pooja.
