This was revealed today by Dr JBS Jaggi, Associate Director, Orthopedics and Joint Replacement, Max Hospital, Gurgaon, while addressing a press conference held at Press Club, Jammu. On the occasion, experts from Max Hospital shared views on growing incidence of orthopedic problems due to poor and inactive lifestyle and conveyed intent of extending best-in-class healthcare services at Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Jaggi, said, “Joint pain and knee problems are very common amongst Indians and the most worrying aspect is our ignorance towards musculoskeletal problems. These problems are correlated with other health aspects such as body weight; lowered calcium intake, bone density etc. and the incidents can be checked or delayed with early detection and lifestyle modifications. The need of the hour is to identify the cause of such conditions and work towards offering holistic solutions for long term healing and recovery.”
“Launch of this OPD is a step towards realizing our larger vision/goal of making tertiary healthcare services accessible to all. We are sure that this OPD in Jammu will benefit both local residents as well as those in the neighboring towns,” he further added.
