JAMMU, Feb 22: Max Hospital, New Delhi announced its cancer specialty OPD in Jammu on 3rd Sunday of every month by Medical Oncologist Dr Nitesh Rohatgi and Kidney and Urology Oncologist Dr Vimal Dassi.
Max Hospital New Delhi is going to start cancer clinic in Jammu where in all specialties related to cancer will render their services in public interest like (medical oncologist, urological cancer specialist, kidney cancer specialty, gall bladder cancer specialty, gastro intestine cancer specialist, lungs cancer specialty, head neck-cancer specialty, abdomen cancer specialty, brain tumors, breast cancer specialty, blood cancer specialty, ovarian cancer specialty : cervix cancer specialties shall render their services in J&K in coming months.
Speaking to media persons, Dr Dassi and Dr Rohatgi told that risk factors, signs and symptoms the prognosis (chance of recovery) and treatment options depending on stages.
“Our focus is to facilitate more and more detections at early stages, so that lives can be saved. This disease can happen to anyone. The patient and his family need to be strong to successfully tackle cancer”, he added.
According to Dr Vimal Dassi this specialty OPD aims to reduce barriers, which may prevent patients from getting screened for cancer.
This specialty clinic ensures that especially cancer patients have the opportunity to have same day testing and diagnosis and counseling session, as well as the opportunity to book a future pap or mammography or any other investigations advised by doctor on prior appointments, told Hari Boolchandani, Regional Head, North from Max Hospital.
He also announced that in near future Max Healthcare is coming up with full fledged super specialty OPD clinics in cardio, neuro, sugar (diabetic clinic) breast, gastro and IVF clinic with day care facilities.
