Matra Shakti is upholding civilisational moorings: ABISY

JAMMU, May 17: A one day national seminar on the topic “Contribution of Women in Viksit Bharat 2047 : A Historical Perspective” was organized by Bhartiya Itihas Sankalan Samiti, Jammu Kashmir Ladakh Prant in collaboration with Centre for Comparative Religion & Civilisation, Central University of Jammu at Keshav Bhawan, Amphalla, here , today.
The seminar was organized to highlight the contribution of women in the nation building and upholding the civilizational moorings of Bharat.
On this occasion Dr.Balmukund Pandey, national organising secretary, Akhil Bhartiya Itihas Sankalan Yojna (ABISY), New Delhi was the chief guest, Ms.Anuradha Rajhans, Rashtriya Mahila Pramukh, ABISY, New Delhi was the key note speaker. Addressing the audience, Dr. Balmukund Pandey said, “Bharat is a nation is worshipped as the epitome of motherhood and this is due to the civilizational continuity of upholding the role of women as the anchors of the society. In Ramayana and Mahabharata women epitomized the family and social values that continue to inspire the contemporary society. Character of children is built by mothers in our society and it goes to the credit of Matra Shakti that nation has given birth men valor and chivalry. ABISY is committed to research the authentic history of such women who have shaped the national character of Bharat.”
Anuradha Rajhans, while delivering her keynote address said, “Bharat is marching ahead with conviction and confidence to emerge as the world leader. And in this journey women are acting as the backbone to make Bharat resurgent by 2047.
Dr. Ajay Kumar Singh, Assistant Professor, Centre for Comparative Religion & Civilisation, Central University of Jammu said, “Bharat has reached new heights in various domains and when analysed statistically, it can be concluded that various schemes launched by the Government of India to encourage women has paid rich dividends.
Earlier welcome address was delivered by Prof. Anita Billawaria, president, BISS-JKL said,” Jammu and Kashmir has a rich tradition of women warriors and social reformers who have shaped the contours of women empowerment.
Dr. Neelam Sareen, general secretary, BISS-JKL was also present on the dais.
On this occasion the nationalist fortnightly newspaper The Chancellor was released by the dignitaries on the dais. Editor of The Chancellor Anuja Khushu gave a detailed brief about the objectives and editorial policy of the newspaper.
Proceedings of the seminar were conducted by Dr.Annu Kotwal and the formal vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Mahesh Kaul.
