‘Mathwar Mela’ commences

JAMMU, Feb 1: Four-day long “Mathwar Mela” commenced today.
Large number of people from various areas participated in the mela.
The arrangements for the smooth conduct of the mela were placed in service including drinking water, electricity, medical facility, security, sanitation etc.
Naib Tehsildar Gharota is camping at Mathwar and functioning as Nodal Officer. Other line departments’ officials are also extending their services.
A medical camp has been setup by the Health Department with two para-medicos at Devasthan in addition to the Sub Centre already functioning at Mathwar. One ambulance with mobile medical unit is also made available at the mela site.
To avoid security lapse, two nakas at Agore and Kotli were setup by the Police Department for checking the vehicles plying towards Mathwar. Fool proof security has been put in and around the Devasthan in addition to checking teams with metal detectors at entrance.
All these arrangements were finalized in a meeting, which was conveyed by Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu Kalyan Singh Parihar on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Jammu Ajeet Kumar Sahu.
