RAJOURI, July 5: The members of Matador/Sumo Union of Thanna Mandi led by its president, Basharat Khan staged a protest at Thanna Mandi town against the apathy of administration for not fixing the fare of Rajouri- Thanna Mandi route.
They shouted loud slogans against Rajouri district administration and transport authorities and alleged that they have failed to address their genuine issue. They said Thanna road is totally damaged and huge losses occur on daily basis due to the pathetic plight of road.
They further alleged that from the last two years their business has suffered great losses but the administration has not taken any step to mitigate their sufferings because of which they are on the verge of starvation.
They appealed to the Administration to fix the the route fare properly and also announce a comprehensive package for transporters, drivers, conductors etc so that they may not suffer any more.
