KATRA, Aug 22: An unidentified pilgrim visiting Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine today committed suicide by jumping in a deep gorge adjoining new track near Devi Dwara.
The deceased, apparently in the age group of 40, was spotted jumping into the deep gorge by some other pilgrims. It took more than two hours for the Police team to locate his body in the 300 meters deep gorge. On being shifted to hospital, doctors declared him as brought dead.
Identity of the deceased could not be ascertained as nothing useful in this regard was recovered from him.
