* Gives hot-iron burns on feet, back

RAJOURI, Sept 4: Crossing all the limits of cruelty and third degree torture, a `hearless’ master hailing from Thanamandi town of Rajouri district, brutually tortured a just 9-year-old domestic servant and even applied hot iron on his back and under feet.
This minor and helpless boy, who was lying in confinement was rescued with the intervention of neighbours and police assistance. The police party led by SHO Thannamandi rescued the boy and arrested the accused, Faizan Khan, son of Mohd Shakoor, resident of Ward No. 7, Thannamandi. The police has registered a case under FIR No. 165/ 2020 against him.
The boy whose under feet skin has been burnt by the cruel master is unable to walk and is undergoing treatment in Rajouri hospital. He has been identified as Zubair Khan, son of Zafar, resident of Thanamandi area. Boy’s father is poor labourer and is unable to feed his family, the police said.
Faizan, who is in relation with the poor Zafar, brought his son to home assuring that he will provide good education and bear other expenditure. But the boy was being mal-treated and kept as domestic servant. As the boy refused to wash utensils or do other house hold works, telling that he had been brought to provide education. Upon this, his Master allegedly started beating and torturing the boy. After giving him burns, when the boy cried loudly, the neighbours rushed there but Faizan did not allow them to speak in his affair. Then they intimated the parents of the boy. As the Faizan refused to hand over the boy and kept him in confinement, then the family sought police help. The police party rescued the boy. The injured boy narrated the whole story to police.
SDPO, Sajjad Khan said that the police party arrested Faizan and registered a case under FIR No. 165/2020 against him at Thanamandi Police Station. The District Administartion Rajouri has also taken this case very seriously.
