Massive searches in Baramulla

SRINAGAR, Apr 3: Security forces have launched massive search operations to track down the militants who fled from an operation in Tangmarg area of North Kashmir after killing two security forces personnel and injuring three others including a civilian yesterday.
Army, police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) cordoned off several villages since morning and conducted house to houses searches for the militants who fled from Hardshoora Sultanpora in Kunzar in Baramulla district yesterday.
The villages where the searches were conducted are Zeran, Lawapora, Batpora, Tangmanrg Gaadiya, Palhalan and  Goshbugh.
One of these militants Fayaz Ahmad Wailu is from Tangmarg area and other Ishaq is from Palhalan area of Pattan in district Baramulla.
Yesterday a soldier and a Special Police Officer (SPO) were killed and two Army men and a civilian were injured in gun battle at Hardshoora Tangmarg area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla yesterday.
The militants managed to flee the cordon after inflicting casualties on security forces. The Army and police continued its searches of the village and adjacent areas to trace the militants.
