JAMMU, Jan 24: Army and police today launched a massive search operation at village Nathal near Kaleeth in Akhnoor tehsil following reports given by the civilians that they had spotted movement of four suspected militants.
The civilians claimed that they saw the armed militants heading toward Akhnoor through the village Nathal, which falls few kilometers short of the Line of Control.
Army and police personnel immediately rushed to the spot and cordoned off the village.
Additional SP Jammu ML Kaith said the area has been sealed and searches were being conducted to track movement of any unwanted elements.
He added that searches would be intensified with the onset of dawn tomorrow.
