UDHAMPUR, Apr 25: A massive fire broke out in Ramnagar and Basantgarh forest area of Udhampur district here this evening.
The jungle fire engulfed a number of small and large trees spread in an area of around three kilometer of Dugh Nallah in Choki area and three kilometer area of Basantgarh.
According to DFO Udhampur, Vivak Modhi, the fire has been controlled to a great extent by the late evening. Exact loss of wood in the fire could not be ascertained at this time, he added.
