JAMMU, Feb 13: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Anil Kumar Masoom here today started lane-drain work at Hanuman Gali in Pacca Danga area of Ward number 10.
The work shall be completed at a cost of Rs. 11 lakh and the lanes and drains of the area were in dilapidated condition since long which created a lot of problems for locals of the area as well as for the passersby moving through these lanes.
Former Minister, Priya Sethi was also present on the occasion and speaking on the occasion she appealed to the general public to come forward and cooperate with JMC in various development works going on in the city.
Speaking on the occasion the Councillor asked the residents of his Ward to avoid single use plastic and polythene in routine work and stop throwing garbage and debris in drains and lanes.
Masoom stressed on the habit of segregation of dry and wet garbage at household level so that Jammu can be made neat, clean and beautiful city.
Local present on the occasion were Ramesh Gupta, Gurdas Sharma, Visav Pratap Singh, Sri Kant Sharma, Neeru Anand, Nipun Malhotra, Shami Sharma, Karan Khajuria and others.
