JAMMU, Aug 1: Acting swiftly, Purmandal police recovered a kidnapped class 8th student within 24 hours and arrested a mason from Bari-Brahmana Railway Station today.
As per police sources, family members of the 14-year-old girl hailing from Chirk Madana village, lodged a missing complaint with Purmandal police station yesterday after the girl didn’t return to the house after attenting tuition classes.
After registering a case, police started investigations and on information from reliable inputs, recovered the minor girl from Bari-Brahmana Railway Station and arrested the kidnapper, who works as mason. The accused has been identified as Sadaam Hussain, son of Fateh Mohammad, a resident of village Chirk Madana, Purmandal.
During questioning, the girl revealed that she had been kidnapped by Sadaam Hussain, when she was on her way to attend tuition classes.
The girl has been restored to the family after completion of legal formalities.
A case under FIR number 14/14 under Section 363 RPC has been registered at Purmandal police station against the accused and investigation started.
Police team headed by SHO Purmandal Police Station SI Ashish Choudhary made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Bari Brahmana Shehzad Salaria and SSP Samba Anil Magotra.
