Talking to Excelsior here today, Mohd Hanief said the people who are indulging in the pelting of stones on Army and working against the country are traitors. He said some youth of Kashmir are working against the country and indulging in attack on our security forces. They are doing this at the instance of Pakistan and its agents. They should be advised to shun this path.
” In my opinion they should be given chance to mend their ways for one, two or maximum three times, and if they are not prepared to listen, they should also meet the same fate as the others are facing while fighting with the troops. I consider such people as traitors of the country. They don’t have any love of their own country and people,” Hanief said.
” It will be my appeal to such youth to shun the path of violence and work for the welfare and progress of their own country and its people,” Martyr Aurangzeb’s father said.
When asked how he was feeling after his two sons joined Army hardly two days ago, Hanief said after martyrdom of Aurangzeb, just one day before Eid last year, my sons had pledged to join Army and take revenge of the killing of their brother. ” I was also in Army and my cousins also served in Army. My whole family is committed for the service to the nation. Army is the only organisation which has close bondage with the family of serving and retired soldiers. Even after martyrdom, Army never forgets their families and keep close relation. Therefore, my family prefers service in the Army. He said Army is not only guarding borders and fighting enemy but helping civilians in many ways especially in the border belt of J&K and other parts,” Hanief said.
Replying to another question, he said with the joining of my sons in Army even after losing my one son while fighting militants, other parents in the State and especially youth would take inspiration and also change their mindset,” Hanief maintained.
