Governor urged to establish Brahmin Commission for advisory role

JAMMU, July 25: Expressing serious concern over the prevailing social evils and menaces in the society all over the world, Brahmin Sansar Sangathan, Jammu and Kashmir, has called for revival of the role of Brahmins to show the righteous path and urged Governor of the State to establish a Brahmin Commission for advisory role.
“The role of Brahmins in the development of society has diminished to the extent that the present world scenario has gone on a path so destructive and if the role of Brahmins is not revived, it shall be annihilative for the future generations on earth,” said Dr Ram Chander Sharma, State President of the Brahmin Sansar Sangathan, while addressing a press conference, here today.
Maintaining that the Brahmins belong to Verna (Class) system and never believe in caste system or inter religious hatred or conflicts, he stressed that all humans are born equal irrespective of caste, creed, color or gender and all are equal in the eyes of Parmatama (God) and have to get education, Sanskaras and other basic human rights including food, shelter and other rights.
While highlighting various burning issues facing the world community in general and J&K in particular, he said, “The present scenario in Jammu and Kashmir is disastrous as our youth are frustrated and in the grip of violent behaviour and addiction. In Kashmir Valley, deaths and destruction are being witnessed for the last 30 years while drug cartel and liquor Mafia is having field day. The prevailing corruption has much demoralized common man. ” He further alleged that Police and Administration have become non responsive towards various mafias.
Stating that the Brahmin Sansar Sangathan Jammu and Kashmir believes in unity and integrity of India and the organization was ready to provide its services for inter faith harmony and dialogue with all stakeholder of Jammu and Kashmir, Mr Sharma said that the Brahmins believe in Chankya Niti and have no carving for money or any political ambitions or to hold any post to earn money and are always agriculturists.
“We appeal Governor Jammu and Kashmir to establish a Brahmin Commission in the State for an advisory role only,” he said.
