JAMMU, May 13: A mammoth rally was organized by people of Marh to show their total solidarity with their MLA and local leader Choudhary Sukhnandan.
The meeting, besides the MLA and former Minister, Ch Sukhnandan was also addressed by MP Jammu -Poonch Lok Sabha constituency, Jugal Kishore Sharma.
The participants showed their resentment against the party High Command for not inducting Choudhary Sukhnandan in the Cabinet in recent reshuffle of ministers.
Addressing the rally one of the former Sarpanches expressed his resentment and concern that despite of being the two times legislator and senior most leader of BJP, the party has ignored him which is not acceptable to us.
A lot of development has taken place in the Marh constituency during his tenure which was never seen in past and being a grass level leader of the party Ch Sukhnandan deserves to be absorbed in Council of Ministers in view of his public rapport said another ex Sarpanch of the area.
“All the people of Marh are with Sukhnandan Choudhary and we will not accept anything less than the Cabinet berth, as he has the vast experience and knowledge and lone legislator to fight for the cause of farmers’’, said a reputed farmer of the area.
“I want to ask is this a punishment to him that he speak against his own Government for the welfare of farmers. If we will not get any positive response from the party High Command we will not take a second thought to take decision in Parliament elections’’, he added.
Addressing the gathering Sukhnandan said that “I am a loyal worker of party from the last 30 years and will remain loyal to the party but I can’t ignore the feelings of my people also’’.
MP Jugal Kishore Sharma assured the people that he will talk with the BJP High Command at State and National level about the issue.
