Marh area facing power crisis: JKNPP

JAMMU, June 22: J&K National Panthers Party (JKNPP) has alleged that residents of Samalpur, Sajalpur, Chuhane Chak, Tikkri and Gho Manhasa are facing power crisis and long power cuts.
Shanker Singh, State Secretary JKNPP and Partap Singh Jamwal, State Vice President Young Panthers during a visit of these villages said, Power Development Department (PDD) has failed to supply electricity to these villages as per schedule.
Speaking on the occasion Shanker Singh said, not only the residents of these villages are reeling under darkness but the entire Marh area is without light in this scotching hot and humid weather.
He also said that long power cuts along with fluctuations and low voltage have made the lives of people miserable.
Partap Singh said that people are burdened with 15-18 hours long power cuts in this summer humidity. “The women, children, old aged persons and patients are suffering due to power cuts,” he said adding that repeated complaints to the PDD department have resulted in no relief for the people.
Those who were present on the occasion were Nirmal Kishore, Ajay Pal Singh, Dilawar Khan, Sidhant Dogra, Vrinder Kumar, Abhijeet Sharma, Nikhil Sharma and others.
