Many revenue cases settled by RD S&LR during camps

KATRA, Oct 9: A lot of long pending revenue cases were settled today during spot redressal camps held under the directions of Amit Sharma, Regional Director (RD), Survey & Land Records (S&LR) Udhampur/Reasi which were held in and around Katra Sub-Division and adjoining villages.
All the revenue officers of the Sub Division including SDM Katra Neelam Khajuria, Tehsildar Katra Mohit Raina, NT RD, S&LR Office Karnail Singh, Patwari Ghulam Mohd, Bhagat Singh and other officials accompanied RD, S&LR during these spot redressal camps.
One particular long pending case related to village Kundrorian, tehsil Reasi was settled by Amit Sharma, RD S&LR after setting aside the order of mutation passed earlier which was resulting into constant loss to State exchequer since long for want of decision after receiving a report on same by SDM & Tehsildar concerned on the matter.
Similarly, another long pending case related to wrong entry related to Tenancy Rights of a claimant were settled by RD, S&LR in village Serli adjoining town of Katra after conducting spot visit and ascertaining the ground position along with revenue team. Few other spots in different places like village Tareen Mehari and others were also visited by the Revenue team and lot of decisions were taken to settle few cases of these villages which were lying pending in Revenue Courts due to various reasons.
On the sidelines of these visits, RD S&LR Amit Sharma specifically pressed that it is need of the hour to organize regular spot redressal camps especially in far-flung belts of these twin districts so that long pending revenue cases of citizens are settled instantaneously and justice is delivered at doorsteps of a common man.
RD S&LR Amit Sharma further instructed SDMs/AC(R)s of these twin districts to bring out a roster soon for organizing such revenue camps especially in remote villages during upcoming winter months for the convenience of general public.
