Many people in Ramban, Doda live in stone-age: Bhim

JAMMU, Apr 8: Chief patron of  National Panthers Party  and contesting candidate of the party from Udhampur-Doda Lok Sabha seat Prof Bhim Singh today said that many remote and hilly areas of this constituency have been neglected  by the wining candidates and the respective political parties.
Talking to media-persons here today after his campaign in Mahu-Mangat, Pogal- Paristan, Rajgarh, Gool, Mahore Paddar, Dessa, Marwah, Dakshin and Wadwan area today, Prof Singh said in many of these areas there is no electricity, drinking water facilities, medicines and doctors.  Many people of these areas are still living in stone age.  There situation in many areas is still worst which was about five years back. There is no road connectivity in Mahu Mangat area of Ramban district. The population of this belt is nearly 14,000 souls. The area is hardly 12 kms from the main Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in tehsil Banihal.
Again, Pogal Paristan and Neel area, which has great tourist attraction has remained neglected. There is no proper road connectivity, health and education facilities.  The people of this area have no knowledge of MGNREGA scheme. Same is the condition in Marwah-Dakshin and Wadwan area. The political parties which remained in power only exploited the people of this belt for their vote bank. He claimed that NPP would fight for their rights and provide justice to them.
Prof Bhim Singh appealed the people from these districts of Ramban, Reasi, Doda and Kishtwar to fully support NPP for the better development of these areas. He also said that NPP was committed for resolving the issue of PoK and West Pakistan and Chhamb refugees.
