JAMMU, May 30: Many government employees were accorded a warm farewell on their attaining the age of superannuation here today.
Officers and staff at Directorate of Agriculture, Jammu, bid farewell to Madan Lal, Regional Level Subject Matter Specialist (JDA Extension Office, Jammu); Gopal Krishan, Head Draftsman (Directorate of Agriculture, Jammu); Manju Gupta, Field Assistant-III (Divisional Soil Survey Office, Jammu); Madan Lal, GCEO (ADLE, Jammu) and Jeet Singh, Driver (Agriculture Chemist, Jammu), as these officers and officials superannuated after rendering more than three decades of dedicated service to the Department.
At a farewell function, Director Agriculture Production & Farmers Welfare, Jammu, Anil Gupta along with sectoral heads, senior officers and staff members extended best wishes to the retiring employees. As a mark of respect and recognition, mementoes were presented to the retirees on behalf of the Department.
A farewell function was organised at the Conference Hall of Directorate of Horticulture, Jammu, on the occasion of retirement of S. Harmeet Singh, Chauffeur, after his 27 years of service to the Department. The function was attended by Director Horticulture Jammu, Gul Syed, Deputy Director Horticulture (Central), Jammu, Mukesh Sharma, Deputy Director Planning Divya Mahajan, Accounts Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer Jammu R. Kotwal, Technical Section Officers, Horticulture Information and Publicity Officer, Randhir Singh Parihar, NRO Satish Kumar, Assistant Director Sunil Gupta, DL-SMSs, Horticulture Development Officer, Dr. Vijay Kumar, HDOs and other officers and officials of the Department. Speaking on the occasion, the Director wished a healthy, happy and prosperous post-retirement to Harmeet Singh.
A warm send-off was accorded to Mohammad Ayub Khan, Divisional Forest Officer, on his retirement from PCCF Office, FRMC Narwal, Jammu, after 39 years and 6 months of dedicated and unblemished service. Officers and officials of the department wished happy and healthy post-retirement life to Ayub Khan.
Government Degree College Samba organized a farewell function as Prof. Narayan Dutt, Associate Professor in Department of Physics, attained the age of superannuation after rendering distinguished and dedicated service in Higher Education Department. Principal of the College, faculty members, non-teaching staff, students and several well-wishers lauded the commitment to teaching, discipline and professionalism of Prof. Narayan Dutt. Principal of the College, Prof. Nirlape Kour and others extended best wishes to the retiring professor and as a token of respect, mementoes and souvenirs were presented to him.
A warm farewell was organized at Middle School Birthpuri, Zone Thannamandi on the retirement of Zatoon Begum, a dedicated teacher. Prominent among those present on the occasion were Sandeep Wazir, DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range, Jawaid Iqbal Raina, Principal BHSS Thannamandi and others. The dignitaries extended best wishes to the retiring teacher for a healthy, happy and prosperous post-retirement life.
Follower in Police Department, Kali Dass retired from his active service after rendering more than 40 years of service. In this regard, DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range, Shiv Kumar organized a farewell function which was attended by family members and close relatives of the outgoing official. Raj Kumar Kaul, Dy.SP, Staff officer RPHQ Udhampur, Mohammad Syeed Wani, and others were also present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, DIG, Shiv Kumar commended Kali Dass for his dedication, sincerity and high standards of service and conveyed best wishes to the retiring official.
