PANAJI: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar today sworn in as Chief Minister of Goa.

Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party MLAs Sudin Dhavalikar and Manohar Azgaonkar, Goa Forward Party MLAs Vijay Sardesai, Jayesh Salgaocar and Vinod Paliencar, BJP MLAs Pandurang Madkaikar and Francis D’Suza and independent MLAs Rohan Khaunte and Govind Gaude sworn in as ministers.

The oath to secrecy of office was administered by Goa Governor Mridula Sinha at a simple function at Raj Bhavan at Dona Paula near the city.

The swearing in ceremony was attended by BJP National president, Amit Shah, Union Ministers, Nitin Gadkari, Venkaiah Naidu, JP Nadda, among others. (AGENCIES)
