UDHAMPUR, Jan 18: Demanding high level probe in issuing fake gun license in Udhampur, former MLA and NPP president Balwant Singh Mankotia today said that strict action should be taken against the officers who were indulge in issuing these fake gun licenses.
While addressing a press conference at party office Udhampur, Mankotia alleged that most of the gun licenses have been issued without any police verification which is most necessary for issuing any gun license. He said that law has been completely violated in Udhampur.
Expressing deep concern over issuing gun license without any verification, he said that it also raises the crime rate in the city. Moreover, issued license can also be used by the militants or anti-nationalists. Mankotia demanded high level probe in the matter and stern action against officers/officials responsible.
