JAMMU, Sept 21: Expressing serious concern over the plight of highly educated youth of Jammu region, former MLA and NPP president Balwant Singh Mankotia asked Coalition Government to issue Dogra certificates to the youth of Jammu region so that they can avail the opportunity to join belt force and serve the nation.
He said that due to non- availability of Dogra certificate, youth of Jammu region fail to qualify the physical test for belt forces and Govt should issue the Dogra certificate for early redressal of their grievances.
Leading the Haq-insaaf yatra started for separate Jammu State, Mankotia while addressing huge gathering at Marh and Ghou Manhasan, highlighted the objective this Yatra to unite people of the Jammu region which is continuously facing discrimination and to raise the voice against the injustice. He disclosed that Panthers Party started Haq-insaaf yatra in April this year.
Under this awareness campaign and to unite people for separate Jammu State, rallies had been organized from Kishtwar to Poonch and Lakhanpur to Banihal and people whole heartedly supported the movement and have reaffirmed their further support for the genuine cause, Mankotia maintained.
Raising the long pending demand of Jammu youth, Mankotia demanded that State Govt should issue Dogra certificates to youth of Jammu region so that they can pass the physical test for belt force. Due to non- issuance of this certificate which is a honour for Dogras and being known as brave community, educated youth are denied jobs in belt forces as this certificate provides relaxation in physical verification for youth of Jammu region. He appealed to the Government to issue Dogra certificate to youth of Jammu region as early as possible.
On this occasion Shanker Chib, Dilawar Khan and Satveer Manhas also addressed the rallies.
