UDHAMPUR, July 17: Former MLA & NPP President Balwant Singh Mankotia today called on Chief Engineer M&RE Jammu Wing, Sudhir Gupta at his office in Jammu and apprised him about unschedule long power cuts and low voltage issues of Udhampur constituency, including town and Panchayats.
He said that from last 4 years, there were unschedule power cuts and low voltage at Udhampur with the result that people are forced to suffer in summers especially. He demanded improvement of low voltage by creating of new sub station at Udhampur.
Mankotia said that low voltage and unschedule long power cuts have virtually paralyzed life in various Panchayats, including Chakkad Mohalla Tikri, Prince Capri Mand, Khoda (Suhaal) Malhar, Upper Seeni, Pala Danga, Katli Patla, Paltiyar, Sanmotra Mohalla Panchayat Barta, Indira Colony Rathiyan, Tarwa and Dubey Mohalla Panchayat Barta, Patiyana Mohalla Panchayat Padanoo, Gujjar Mohalla Badola, Surari Nala Mohalla Panchayat Battal, Panchayat Padanoo etc
Chief Engineer Sudhir Gupta assured Mankotia for early redressal and telephonically asked Executive Engineer Udhampur to take up the matter at the earliest.
