Manjit pays floral tribute to Kargil martyr

SAMBA, Mar 6: Apni Party Provincial president Jammu, and former minister Manjit Singh today paid rich tribute to the martyr of Kargil war, Hawaldar Kulvir Singh.
Hawaldar Kulvir Singh sacrificed his life while defending the borders of the country in Kargil on July 6, 1999.
The former minister offered floral tribute to the martyr and remembered his supreme sacrifice. Speaking on the occasion, he said brave martyrs contribution should be included in the school syllabus.
“The PRIs and families can play an important role in villages in particular by organizing events to remember the sacrifices as it would strengthen the bonds in the society and keep the people from different faiths united,” he said.
“Our security forces have given supreme sacrifices to maintain peace within Jammu and Kashmir and on the borders. The martyrs inspire the youth to follow the right path of nation building,” he added.
