Vijaypur, Oct 1: Former minister and senior Congress leader Manjit Singh today expressed serious concern over ignorance of flood affected people of Vijaypur by the administration.
“Poor farmers have been badly hit by the flash floods but no relief was provided so far,” Singh said, speaking in the Congress workers meet at Vijaypur today.
Singh, who was disappointed with negligence of administration, said the affected families should be provided adequate relief.
The senior Congress leader said these people have been facing hardships because their fields have filled with silt following floods.
“They are unable to cultivate their crops and cattle are without fodder , Mr Singh added.
“They have been left on the mercy of God,” Singh alleged adding that when relief is being given to other affected people of the State, these poor people have been ignored.
He appealed that needed relief should be provided to them.
