JAMMU, July 30: Shri Mani Mahesh Yatra which is starting from August 4, 2014 will be conducted in two phases.
As per the communique issued by the Mani Mahesh Yatra Dal, the Yatra would be conducted in two phases. In the first phase, the Yatra would start on August 4 on foot and on August 10 by buses and then pilgrims would take bath in the holy Dal Lake on August 17 on the occasion of Shri Krishan Janam Ashtami.
In 2nd phase, the Yatra would start on August 17 on foot and on August 25 by buses along with Chhari Mubarak from various District Headquarters of the State.
The Mani Mahesh Yatra of erstwhile Doda district and Doda district would start on August 25 along with Chhari Mubarak from Shiv Temple Ghuraka to Shiv Temple Bhalla on foot and then upto Bhaderwah by buses, where after performing Darshan of Shri Laxmi Narayan Ji, the yatra will further move forward to Chamba (HP) via Paddri Dhar and on September 1 on the eve of Shri Radha Ashtami, the devotees would took a dip in the holy Dal Lake.
The return journey would start on the same day at 2 pm.
