JAMMU, July 3: Member Parliament, Rajya Sabha, Shamsher Singh Manhas, today laid the foundation stone of Sulabh toilet complex at Manhas Sabha, Paloura.
The land for the complex is donated by Manhas Sabha. Jammu Municipal Corporation will complete this construction project and later sublet it for smooth running. This complex would be built with an estimated cost of Rs 10.50 lac under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan by JMC.
While laying the foundation stone of Sulabh toilet complex, Shamsher Singh Manhas said civic amenities are priority of society and this Sulabh toilet complex will cater the basis need of the society and provide them hygienic atmosphere.
He said that people of society will get benefit once the toilet complex is constructed, as this area remain busy and people face lot of problem for natural cause.
Balbir Singh Manhas, president, Manhas Sabha said that JMC was approached for construction of Sulabh complex so that people can get benefit of this toilet complex. We have donated the land for construction of complex and on completion of the project people from all walks of life will get benefit.
RS Jamwal, Joint Commiss-ioner, JMC said this Sulabh toilet complex would be constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 10.50 lac by JMC under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan mission. “After construction of this Sulabh Toilet Complex, it should be sublet to other agencies for functioning for proper maintenance”, he added.
