NEW DELHI: Women and Child Development minister Maneka Gandhi will undergo gall bladder surgery at the premier All India Institute of Medical Sciences here.
The union minister was being brought to Delhi from her constituency Pilibhit for the surgery after she complained of intense stomach pain, hospital sources said. The team will be led by general surgeon Anurag Srivastava.
The minister who was doing constituency work in Pilibhit was rushed to the Government hospital and admitted to an emergency ward there after she complained of severe stomach pain. A decision to airlift her to the national capital was taken, the sources said. (AGENCIES)
