JAMMU, Oct 21: Raghunath Mandir Committee, Fatehkadal Srinagar, camp Jammu held a meeting today under the chairmanship of its president, Bharat Raina. The meeting was attended by office bearers and Executive members of the Committee.
The meeting deliberated over the recent decision of State Government for inclusion of Raghunath Mandir of Fatehkadal -an age old heritage shrine in the Smart City Project. The meeting complimented the Governor, Satya Pal Malik and Commissioner Secretary, Dheeraj Gupta and other members of Smart City Board of Directors for including this ancient and revered temple in the project which was vandalized and ignored for the last 30 years by previous Governments.
The meeting said in view of the importance of the Temple, the Committee will extend full support and cooperation besides it will work in coordination with the State administration and Dharmarth Trust in bringing back the lost glory of the great heritage which once used to house 300 to 400 devotees on daily basis.
The Committee said it was the result of the efforts of Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Baseer Ahmed Khan who took up the issue with the higher ups after the Committee delegation brought this and other issues in his notice recently.
Pawan Raina, S K Turki, Suneel K Tickoo, Anil Koul, Shadi Lal Ganjoo, Kaka Ji Raina, Sanjay Razdan, Ramesh Koul, Shiban Ji and Vijay Raina were among others who attended meeting.
