Man threatens wine shop employees with revolver, arrested

JAMMU, Sept 17: Gandhi Nagar police arrested a man for threatening wine shop employees with a revolver.
As per police sources, the accused, identified as Jasmeet Singh, son of Chatar Singh of Digiana allegedly threatened the employees of wine shop with his revolver in Gandhi Nagar.
Singh was in an inebriated condition at the time of the incident and he threatened the employees of wine shop, when they asked him for payment of the items he purchased from the shop.
The accused has produced a license of the revolver but it remains to be seen whether it was genuine or forged.
The veracity of the license will be proved during the course of investigation.
A case under FIR Number 236/15 under Section 3/5 Arms Act has been registered against the accused at Gandhi Nagar police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Gandhi Nagar police station Inspector Bishnesh Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Gandhi Nagar Sachin Gupta, SP South Udhay Bhaskar Billa and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
