JAMMU, Aug 10: A man today stabbed his brother-in-law on High-Court Road in Janipur area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a man identified as Arun son of Babu Ram, resident of Nadwal (Gharota) along with his brother, Puran, attacked his brother-in-law namely Parvinder (25) son of Vijay Kumar, resident of old Janipur, with a sharp edged weapon, following a verbal duel which erupted between them while they were returning from High Court after attending hearing of a case between them.
He said in the attack, Parvinder received serious injuries in his abdomen and was shifted to Government Hospital, Sarwal, but doctors there referred him to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where his condition was stated to be stable till the last reports came in.
“A case under relevant sections was registered in this connection at police station Janipur and both the accused were arrested”, he said.
