RAMBAN, Feb 15: A Punjab resident sustained grievous injuries after he was stabbed by a man at Bowali Bazar here today.
Police sources said that heated argument took place between Vijay, son of, Rambilas Sharma, resident of, Punjab, at present Bowli Bazar Ramban and Pardeep, son of, Hari Singh, resident of, Bowli Bazar Ramban and abusive words were exchanged.
Accused Pardeep turned furious and hit Vijay with fist-blows and stabbed him with knife inflicting serious injuries on the latter.
The injured was rushed to District Hospital Ramban.
Police said that the accused involved in the crime escaped from the spot.
Cops have registered a case in this regard in FIR number 50 of 2023 under section 34/307/504/506 IPC at Police Station Ramban and started investigation.
SHO Police Station Ramban, Inspector Anil Chowdary confirmed the incident.
