Srinagar, Dec 6: A mentally unsounded person was shot at near Air Force base in Malangpora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district during the night.
A mentally unsound person identified as Bashir Ahmad Ganie, 30, son of Ali Muhammad Ganie of Lappadpora Yaripora Kulgam was roaming near the Air Force base in Malangpora area of Pulwama district during the night.
However, security forces at the camp found something suspicious and fired upon him, leaving him seriously wounded. Police said that the warning shots were also fired after finding something suspicious.
The injured person was rushed to District Hospital Pulwama where from he has been shifted to SMHS hospital. He has received multiple bullet wounds but is stable.
