RAMBAN, Apr 4: A man has been saved from drowning in river Chenab, here today.
As per police sources, a man identified as Nawaz Ahmed, son of Mohammad Ibrahim Katoch, a resident of Pogal, at present Govindpora was sitting on a huge rock near the bank of river Chenab in Khow Bagh area.
Suddenly the flow of water increased and the man got trapped in the river.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and with the help of local volunteers, rescued the man from drowning.
The man was taken to District Hospital and after treatment was handed over to his family members.
