POONCH, Mar 2: A villager hailing from Saujian area of Mandi tehsil was arrested by police after he arrived here from Pakistan via Nepal along with wife and four children.
A police spokesman said that Mohd Rafiq, son of Mohd Bashir Bhat, resident of Saujian in Mandi tehsil of Poonch had crossed over to PoK during 1991. The family had also lodged a report with local police in this connection. He arrived at his home at Saujian today along with Pakistani wife- Nousheen Bhat and four children including a son and three daughters.
The police received information and arrested Mohd Rafiq and his wife. They told police that they managed to reach Poonch via Nepal by securing Pakistani passport. Their three children are identified as, son- Mohd Zubair (12), Muqadas Rafiq (9) Afooz Rafiq (7) and Zashmal Rafiq (5)-all daughters. The police has registered a case against them. They are being interrogated.
