DODA, Dec 26: A man was killed when the Scorpio car he was driving skidded off the road and plunged into river Chenab near Thathri Grid Station, today morning.

As per police sources, a Scorpio car bearing temporary registration number was on its way to Bhaderwah from Bonjwah, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it plunged into river Chenab, resulting into on the spot death of the driver.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and started operation to fish out the body from the river.
The car was pulled out but the body of the deceased was not retrieved from the Chenab river till last reports were compiled.
The deceased has been identified as Bashir Ahmed, son of Ghulam Qadir, a resident of Bonjwah.
Thathri police has taken cognizance in this regard.
